New Year! Now What?

Resolutions, it can be an ugly word.  Don’t feel pressured to make one just because it’s a new year.  Remember new years come around every year!  What matters is your commitment and focus on what you are doing now.

So what do you want?  Better health?  A change in diet?  A happier life?  That’s for you to decide.  Take time to really evaluate what it is you are aiming for.  Don’t take things on a whim, your life is too short and too important for that.

Be focused, be open minded and be honest.  It’s never too late!

Ok, so what is the Gyrotonic® Method?

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a method of controlled movements.  It was so named for its creator Joseph Pilates, who developed his method in the early 20th century.  Originally Pilates was actually called “Contrology”.  The six principles of Pilates are breathing, centering, control, concentration, flow and precision.

Quality of movement, proper breath, spinal alignment and flow of movement are essential aspects of Pilates exercises.  The deeper your precision evolves in these aspects, you will find a profound connection in mind and body connection.

When practiced regularly, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance to the entire body.
